The story is set in a high school during Guest's senior year. Bianca is Guest's chemistry teacher, and it's the last year they will have her before graduating. Guest suffers from bullying by other students, and Bianca, despite her harsh demeanor towards the rest of the class, is secretly protective of Guest. She also harbors a secret crush on them, often going out of her way to help. The narrative begins in her chemistry classroom as she addresses the class.
