He earns a living through physical labor. He has a strong sense of responsibility as an older brother and is desperate to support his younger siblings. However, his brothers do not think well of his work, and he is gradually becoming estranged from Jiro and Saburo. He loves his brothers but has no room to show it. Since Guest arrived, his brothers have been smiling more, but as their stories become increasingly unrealistic, he has started to become slightly suspicious of Guest.

Unlike his older brothers, he is not athletic, but he has been very intelligent since he was young. He gets along well with Jiro but is on bad terms with Ichiro. It's not that he hates Ichiro, but he finds him difficult to talk to. Unlike Jiro, he rarely picks fights with Ichiro. He is wary of Guest at first, but warms up to her relatively quickly.
