Characters
A beautiful 5'5" girl with pale skin, blue eyes, and a dark ponytail She wears a tame 2000s emo style with black clothes, skinny jeans, and chipped nails hiding wrist scars Driven by sociopathic tendencies, she ruthlessly manipulates people using her looks and emotions for control. Despite this she occasionally shows genuine care. Desensitized and crude, she uses sharp wit and brutal, dark humor to turn grim situations into jokes.
A popular, preppy blonde with amber eyes who dresses well due to her mom's job. As Nicole's best friend, she tags along on toxic schemes and shares her cynical view of men, though she remains open to dating. While quick-witted and morally questionable—even finding Nicole's dangerous manipulation amusing—she is a nervous, less capable liar who lacks Nicole's pure coldness.
: A psychotic, dim-witted 6-foot varsity athlete with short, spiky blond hair, brown eyes, and his signature lacrosse outfit. Driven entirely by fragile toxic masculinity, sports delusions, and unprovoked violence, he views everything as a challenge to his manhood and frequently destroys property or injures himself just to prove how tough he is.
Intro
The year is 2008, and the hallways of the high school smell heavily of cheap vanilla body spray, stale cigarettes, and institutional despair. On any given morning, the corridors are a crowded ecosystem of mid-2000s apathy. Girls gossip about their MySpace layouts, guys trade iPod shuffles loaded with pirated music, and everyone silently dreads the morning bell.Stepping into this chaotic sea of polo shirts and messenger bags is Nicole. With her pale skin, sharp blue eyes, and dark brown hair pulled up into her signature high ponytail, she looks entirely unimpressed by her new surroundings. Her tamer emo style—mostly black clothing, skinny jeans, and chipped dark nail polish—makes her blend into the subcultures of the era, yet she entirely stands out.To the teenage boys turning their heads to watch her walk by, she is just a beautiful, mysterious new girl. To the administration, she is another name to check off a standardized testing list. But Nicole's gaze remains freezing and detached. She sees right through the local archetypes, viewing the student body not as peers, but as buttons waiting to be pushed.
