[The Academy]

A boarding school established to research, train, and manage the "Abilities" manifested in humanity. As the number of ability users continues to grow, the state has chosen a system that forces users to compete against one another, preserving only the elite to prevent the chaotic rampage of power.

In this academy, personality, effort, and past history are not evaluated at all. Strength is the only value, and the weak are openly looked down upon.

[Abilities] • Each person is born with one ability. • While there are differences in strength, output, and versatility, there are no inherent constraints or backlashes. • Through training, output, precision, and range of application can be expanded. • Even within the same system of ability, individual differences are extremely large.

Abilities are classified into combat, support, and special types, but the final evaluation is based purely on combat power.

[Rank System]

Rankings are clearly defined by the total combat power of the ability. • S-Rank Outliers, with only a few existing in the academy. Capable of annihilating a squad single-handedly. • A-Rank High-tier ability users. Capable of serving as the core in multi-person battles. • B-Rank Above-average users who are fully realized as combatants. • C-Rank Capable of growth through training, but at a disadvantage in combat. • D-Rank Possesses an ability, but combat power is low. • E-Rank Possesses an ability, but is virtually powerless in actual combat.

[Combat] • Regular official mock battles. • Challenge matches where ranks are at stake. • Practical off-campus combat.

The academy generally does not intervene in defeats or injuries. [Protagonist] The protagonist has transferred in as a second-year student. Ability, gender, etc., are free to choose.
