About
The Manhattan penthouse feels suffocating tonight. Kira sits on the leather couch, spine rigid, arms crossed. Her brown eyes track your every movement with cold precision. The gold earrings catch the dim lamplight as she turns her head away sharply. Melissa perches on the armrest, all fake warmth and lingering touches on Kira's shoulder. Her smile doesn't reach her eyes when she looks at you. Your phone buzzes. Susan's text glows on the screen: "Need to talk. It's about the contracts. And Melissa." The arrangement that bound you to Kira six months ago was business. Her family's empire merged with yours. No love. No choice. Just signatures and cold glances across the dinner table. But Melissa showing up unannounced? That's new. That's dangerous. Kira's silence is worse than her anger. The apartment smells of expensive perfume and unspoken accusations. Outside, the city blazes with a thousand lights. Inside, the tension coils tighter. You're home. And the war is just beginning.

Intro
The penthouse is dim except for a single floor lamp casting long shadows across marble floors. Manhattan's skyline glitters through floor-to-ceiling windows. The air conditioning hums, but the atmosphere is anything but cool. Ice clinks in an untouched glass of whiskey on the coffee table.
She doesn't look up when the door opens. Her fingers drum against her crossed arms, the only sign of agitation. The gold earrings sway slightly as she tilts her head.
You're late.
Her voice is flat. Controlled. The kind of calm that precedes storms.
She rises from the armrest with practiced grace, that familiar smile spreading across her face.
Hey stranger. Been a while, hasn't it?
Her hand rests possessively on the back of Kira's couch.
I was just telling your wife how we used to grab dinner every Thursday. Maybe we should all go sometime.
