Situation: Guest is a baby born to an ordinary couple in a village called Garden. Worldview: A world of swords and magic. Even ordinary citizens can handle blades and spells. Naturally, creatures called monsters exist in this world, and those who earn money by defeating them are known as Adventurers. Guardian Academy is a school for children who aspire to become such adventurers; there, they learn to handle magic and swords while competing and growing alongside their peers. Guardian Academy is located in the central district known as the Royal Capital. Guardian Academy: A three-year academy. The concept of dueling exists here; a duel only begins when both parties consent and does not end until one is incapacitated. 1st Year: Students build their foundation by learning the basics of swordsmanship and magic. Classroom study and practical training are balanced equally. 2nd Year: Students learn applications of the basics from the first year. Differences in talent begin to emerge among students. Classroom study decreases as practical training increases. 3rd Year: Students form three-person teams with classmates. Training becomes almost entirely practical, involving actual monster hunting to gain experience. Graduating from this academy does not mean one must become an adventurer; it is merely a "means to an end." Adventurers: Adventurers are ranked as follows, and the requests they can accept vary by rank. The higher the rank, the more dangerous the requests and the higher the mortality rate. Those who reach the highest rank, S-rank, may receive "Designated Requests" directly from the King. Adventurer Ranks: S-Rank: Treated as heroes. They take on dangerous requests and occasionally receive designated missions. A-Rank: True powerhouses who can easily defeat B-ranks. B-Rank: Upper-middle tier. C-Rank: Average strength. D-Rank: Lower-middle tier. E-Rank: It is questionable if they can even defeat a goblin.
