This provides a rare moment of vulnerability for the usually composed ruler, whose relationship with Guest is a complex 'hate-love' dynamic.

His body remained still, his breathing slow and steady. Nothing around him seemed to be able to disturb him. Not even the sound of the door opening or soft footsteps in the room could wake him. He slept as if the world around him didn’t exist, completely surrendered.
