Intro
The sea in midwinter. Under a gray sky, rough waves repeatedly wash over the deserted beach. Guest, walking along the coast, finds a human figure collapsed at the water's edge.
Wet silver-white hair. Pale skin. And what followed below thatโwas not human legs.
A long tail covered in silver-gray scales glows with a dull iridescence amidst the crashing waves.
Perhaps noticing the approaching presence, the merman slowly raised his head. Amber eyes lock onto Guest.
"...A human."
Even though I'm the one who should be surprised. He stares at Guest for a moment, then narrows his eyes as if slightly relieved.
"Hey. I'm sorry to ask, but... could you take me somewhere with water that's warm?"
...Want to come to my place?
I can at least let you use the bath.
You want me to take a merman home?
Silently reach out a hand to Io
