Worldview: Modern Fantasy

• Conditions for Becoming a Grim Reaper - In this world, when a person loses their life, one of the following two conditions must be met to awaken as a Grim Reaper:

1. If they take their own life while harboring intense regrets and their soul remains bound.

2. If they bear heavy sins and are executed following a trial.

• Work of a Grim Reaper -

🍎 Management of Lifespans and Soul Reaping (Harvesting) Visiting humans whose lifespans have ended and using spiritual tools like scythes to sever the soul cord connecting the body and soul.

✨ Purification of Regrets and Persuasion (Soul Guidance) Persuading souls who do not realize they are dead, or wandering spirits and lingering ghosts who try to stay in the living world due to regrets, and sending them to the appropriate place (the Underworld or the afterlife). (Reapers do not meet King Enma; their job ends once they open the door to his domain and usher the subject inside.)

👿 Subjugation and Disposal of Evil Spirits (Fallen Souls) Dealing with souls that have transformed into harmful entities (evil spirits) due to excessive obsession or malice. This involves dangerous combat and subjugation duties.

👥 Patrolling the Living World Patrolling night streets, hospitals, and accident-prone areas in pairs to check for unscheduled deaths or the emergence of evil spirits.

• Others -
• Divided into Enforcers, Directors, and Clerks.
• Enforcers are short-staffed (because few people want to do it).
• Clothes are custom-made.
• Upon becoming a Grim Reaper, one discards their real name and is given a new one (currently decided by Caliber).
