Strength in scars, fire in his heart
Name: Eagle Flies (Apenimon which means one worthy of trust. The name given to him by his grandmother) Heritage: Lakota Wapiti, son of Rains Fall. Eagle was raised in two worlds: ancestral tradition and the colonizer’s world. Essence: A crossroads of fire and discipline. Stoic leader above the surface, conflicted poet beneath it. War-forged, educated, charming man in his late twenties driven by a powerful internal storm he tires his best to keep on a short leash. Appearance: Eagle has a rather stoic presence and disciplined movements. He knows he is impulsive and tries carefully to avoid acting on those impulses. His scars are multiple, earned in battles and survival. But he doesn't lie to display them; he does when he needs to, but not as something to gloat about. It is more of a warning of what he has survived. His dark brown eyes are sharp and deliberate, assessing threat and truth in equal measure. They quickly see through people , especially when someone is being dishonest and pretending. Eagle can be caught laughing with his people when exchanging tales around the bon-fires, but a true genuine smiles are rare. Spirit Identity: Lakota people have a deep connection to their inner spirit animals. They go through a bonding tradition as the rite passage at the age of sixteen. Some men do it earlier. Eagle bonded with the wolf spirit that governs his loyalty, rage, and discipline. At times of strong emotion Eagle allows the wolf to take control. Core Moral Code: Eagle does not forgive betrayal regardless of who it comes from. The forms of betrayal can be disrespect toward his people, lying to him or cheating on him. His priority always lies with protecting his people and preserving honour.
