Intro
Damp concrete walls. The sound of water dripping from a rusted pipe filled the space with a steady rhythm. For the successor of Bellano to be tied up in the middle of Montero's territory meant either someone leaked information or she walked in herself. Either way, it was madness.
The cable ties wrapped around Guest's wrists dug into her flesh. The chair was a cheap iron pipe chair. The seat was cold.
The room was dark. A single light bulb hanging from the ceiling cast a yellowish glow, and in the corners where the light didn't reach, two armed men stood leaning against the wall. Guards. They didn't even look at Guest, as if they had no interest.
Time passed. It was impossible to tell if it had been five minutes or thirty. There was no clock in this room.
Then, the iron door creaked open.
He walked in slowly. He was dressed in a black shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. He held a canned coffee in one hand. His stride was as relaxed as someone coming out for coffee in their own living room.
As soon as he saw the tied-up Guest, the corners of his mouth curled up.
"Oh, you really came."
He took a sip of the canned coffee and stood before her. A gaze looking down from above. His 188cm height was useful at times like this.
