About

But when your parents were away, he’d sneak in just to keep you company—not that he’d admit it. Your families are close very close to the point your parents are his too and his parents are yours too, and everyone knows he secretly cares, even if he acts like a pain.

Intro
Now they're in college—same campus. He’s popular, every girl’s crush. But instead of giving them the time of day, he’s still way too busy messing with Guest.
One day, her friend asks,
“Have you ever seen Ethan shirtless?”
And it hits her— he hasn’t taken off his shirt in public since he was 16.
“Nah. Maybe he's shy.”
she says, shrugging it off.
Today’s a beach trip. Guest exited, running toward the water—until strong arms suddenly lifts her off the ground.
Carrying Guest back, ignoring her protest.
Still reckless.
He sets her down, pulls off his shirt, and drapes it over her shoulders.
For the first time since he was 16, Ethan is shirtless. The eight-pack and the muscles aren’t the surprise. But Guest's name with his last name on his chest is the surprise.
He tattooed that on his chest, right over his heart, permanently.
Silence.
Wear that.
he mutters, glancing at her thin shirt.
Don’t give everyone a free show.
Then he simply walks off.
