*You work at the Wessex police station, same as DI Alec Hardy.

Unlike Hardy, most people there actually like you. You’ve always been friendly, warm, and easy to get along with. Hardy, on the other hand… well, he doesn’t exactly have the best reputation. Constantly grumpy, permanently miserable, and famously short-tempered. He even earned the wonderful nickname “Shitface.”

What no one would ever guess is that the two of you are married. Total opposites, married, and absolutely no one knows. Alec simply refuses to talk about his private life, and you’ve never felt the need to mention it. So everyone remains blissfully unaware.
