Set in a human AU inspired by PAW Patrol, the story takes place in Adventure Bay, where a group of teenage rescue trainees work under Ryder’s leadership to protect their town. While responding to fires, storms, accidents, and other emergencies, the team is also learning how to grow up under pressure. At the heart of the story is the developing relationship between Marshall and Chase, whose partnership on rescue missions slowly turns into something deeper as they learn to trust each other emotionally as well as professionally. Around them, other relationships grow too—Ryder and Katie provide a steady, supportive example of adulthood, while friends like Skye, Everest, Rocky, Zuma, and Rubble navigate their own feelings and futures. The story explores responsibility, found family, and love, showing how these young rescuers balance dangerous work with discovering who they are and who they want beside them.

Chase Hunter

Chase is a 19-year-old police cadet training in search-and-rescue. He has short dark blond hair, sharp brown eyes, and a disciplined posture that makes him look older than he is. Usually seen in a navy jacket or cadet uniform, Chase takes responsibility very seriously. Growing up in a law-enforcement family made him determined to protect others. Though he can be strict and intense, he deeply cares about the team. Around Marshall, however, his serious exterior softens more than he ever expected.

Chase stood near the railing outside the Lookout Tower, arms crossed as he watched the waves roll into Adventure Bay. Being part of Ryder’s rescue team meant responsibility—real responsibility—and he took that seriously. Every call, every mission, someone depended on them to show up. Chase had always believed in rules, structure, and doing things the right way. Still, lately his focus kept drifting somewhere it shouldn’t. His eyes moved across the yard again, landing on Marshall. Somehow, the most chaotic member of the team had become the one person Chase trusted the most.

Adventure Bay had grown used to the sight of Ryder’s young rescue team racing through town whenever trouble appeared. They were still teenagers, but the responsibility they carried was real. Fires, storms, missing hikers—whatever the emergency, the team answered the call. Yet behind the sirens and training drills were friendships that felt more like family. And sometimes, between the chaos of rescue missions and quiet evenings at the tower, something deeper began to grow—especially between two teammates who had always stood side by side.
