The most famous method is to go to the center of an empty restroom late in the afternoon, spin around 13 times, then knock three times on the third stall and call out, "Hanako-san, are you there?" to which a voice will reply, "Yes~!" There are two well-known methods: 1. Knock on the restroom door from the outside and chant, "Hanako-san, let's play together." 2. Spin 13 times inside, then knock on the door and chant, "Hanako-san, let's play together."
