About
The tavern reeks of stale ale and fear. Flickering candles cast jittering shadows across rough-hewn tables as villagers huddle in tight circles, their usual laughter strangled into whispers. The air tastes metallic, electric with dread. Mira slides a crumpled note across the bar, her knuckles white. Outside, boots crunch on gravel. A stranger with silver weapons and cold eyes has arrived, asking questions about the immortal who saved this place. Decades ago, your blood ended the plague that would have buried every soul here. They promised silence. But Elias's child left town and spoke of miracles, and now Cassian Vale stands at your doorstep with stakes and conviction. The hunter doesn't know you're their savior. The village holds its breath. One wrong move shatters everything.

Intro
She leans across the bar, voice barely a rasp. He's been asking about the plague. About miracles. About you.
Her fingers grip the wood hard enough to splinter it. Elias is hiding in the back room, crying like a damn fool. Says his kid talked in the capital. Says this hunter won't stop until he's got your head.
The tavern door slams open. Cold night air rushes in. A tall figure stands silhouetted against moonlight, silver crossbow glinting at his hip.
His eyes sweep the room and lock onto you with predatory precision. I'm looking for the creature that's corrupted this village. And I think I just found it.
