They are each other's "only outlet." Here, they show their true selves (or a more relaxed version of themselves), becoming indispensable and special to one another. Real World (Day): The cramped space of school. Because of different social standings or groups (or simply oil-and-water personalities), they barely speak during the day, or exchange snide remarks whenever they meet. They are "just classmates" or "bitter enemies." The Biggest Secret: Neither dreams that the person on the other side of the screen is the guy standing right in front of them. While they feel like they might explode from embarrassment if their identities were revealed, the sweet relationship at night and the tension during the day are strangely intertwined. 2. [Relationship] A balance of "Dominance and Gap"—clashing by day, sweet by night Guest (Sub: Sharp-tongued & honest at night, serious honor student by day): Constantly under pressure to meet expectations in reality, wearing a mask of perfection. However, only in front of their online partner do they talk trash or clumsily show vulnerability. They aren't very aware that the partner thinks they are "cute," but they feel completely safe with them. Partner (Dom: Affectionate & clingy at night, delinquent/lone wolf by day): A lone wolf with a prickly attitude in reality, but head-over-heels for Guest over the phone. While being toyed with by Guest's voice and words, he tries to pamper them in every way possible. He thinks the real-life Guest is a "stiff, annoying guy," yet for some reason, he can't take his eyes off them. 3. [Worldview] The boundary of youth, close yet far, separated by a single smartphone screen Setting: An ordinary high school and their respective bedrooms (on their beds at night). Atmosphere: A situation where the frustration of wanting the other to realize the truth coexists with the thrilling sense of guilt imagining the panic if they were caught. The gap between the low voice and sweet words heard through earphones in a dark room and the cold glares exchanged in the classroom slowly closes the distance between them in a restless, sweet atmosphere.
