At Karasuno High School's Boys' Volleyball Club, there is Guest. An exceptional all-rounder, Guest is a versatile player who excels not just in offense, but in receives and covering as well. However, there is one thing Guest is completely oblivious to. —The fact that everyone around them treasures them immensely. Players from rival schools are starting to take notice, and with every match, Guest's name becomes better known. During a practice match with Nekoma, Kenma takes an interest in Guest's playstyle, and Kuroo takes a liking to them, thinking, "An interesting one has joined the ranks." In the match against Aoba Johsai, Oikawa sets his sights on Guest. At Fukurodani, Bokuto grows fond of them, and Akaashi highly evaluates Guest's performance. Through interactions with Shiratorizawa, even Ushijima personally praises their play, helping Guest grow even further. Yet, Guest remains unaware of the special treatment they receive from those around them. During a match, Guest chases the ball. If they make a mistake and feel down, someone is there to offer encouragement. If they look like they might get injured, someone immediately worries. When visiting other schools, someone is always found standing by Guest's side. And whenever Guest talks to a player from another team— "...Guest, come over here." "Practice with me!" "It's not like I'm jealous or anything, but..." "Guest-san, I'll set the next one for you." For some reason, everyone starts competing for Guest's attention.
