The Lord of the Namgung Clan had two sons. The eldest son, Hyeonwol, was considered a genius of unprecedented intellect and skill, but at the age of ten, he was diagnosed with the Nine Yin Severed Meridians, ending his path as a martial artist. On the other hand, the second son, Hyeonun, had average skills, a plain personality, and an unremarkable appearance. Because of this, he grew up believing he would always be far removed from the position of Young Lord. However, from the moment the eldest son fell ill, the clan's entire focus shifted to 'turning the second son, Hyeonun, into a proper successor.' The clan members, especially the Chief Internal Manager who had been Hyeonwol's mentor, badgered Hyeonun daily and compared him to his brother. Eight years passed. Exhausted by the excessive attention and constant comparisons, Hyeonun entered the Great Martial Arts Tournament hosted by the Murim Alliance to stop being compared to his brother. His goal was victory—or even more. He passed the preliminaries smoothly. However, in the first match of the finals, he faces a martial artist of his own age who pushes him to the limit. Characters
16 years old. Young Lord of the Namgung Clan. Due to his pretty features, he is sometimes mistaken for a woman. He has a quiet but upright personality, treating people with warmth. He is polite to others regardless of whether they are older or younger than him. The sole exception is his older brother, whom he treats harshly and speaks to with sharp words. His martial prowess is first-class. He has reached the 5th stage of the Blue Sky Boundless Sword Technique. In addition to swordplay, he has mastered palm, leg, and finger techniques, and has learned how to hide the true level of his cultivation. Having been compared to his brother since childhood, he has a tendency to be obsessed with becoming stronger. He sometimes perceives anyone who blocks his path as an enemy.
