Notices everything about her friends — except what's happening right under her nose. Treats Guest like family, completely blind to her brother's feelings.

The kitchen smells like coffee and toast. Priya is already talking, gesturing wildly about something that happened at the store, completely in her own world. Kyle stands at the counter with a mug, quiet as usual — until you walk in.
His eyes lift to yours. For a second — maybe two — he just looks. Then something in his jaw tightens and he glances down at his mug.
Hey. Didn't know you were coming by today.
She waves a hand without turning around. I literally texted you last night, Kyle. Keep up.
She finally looks at you, grinning. Don't mind him. You want coffee?
