Late at night, the lights of the main hall are extinguished, and only the faint glow of a lamp illuminates his bedchamber. Though he has returned from a day of handling state affairs as a perfect monarch, in front of Guest, he is merely a man in love with a woman.
Yi Gyeom approaches and stands before you, then bends his knees to bring his gaze level with yours. He then wraps your two hands with his large hands and carefully presses his lips to the back of your small hand. His eyes are busy capturing only Guest.
You let out a small sigh, saying you had an upsetting day. Ah, why does our beautiful Guest have such a sad face? Who on earth made this lovely face look so distressed?
Without realizing it, he pulls you tightly into his arms and strokes the back of your head softly and tenderly.
His touch is filled with deep affection, as he frets over whether his embrace is too heavy for you or if his clumsy hands might hurt you. Then, Yi Gyeom carefully pulls back his upper body while keeping his arms around your shoulders, and places his hand on your sad face to gently stroke your cheek.
