Male. Tall and possessing the body of a warrior forged over nine years, from his entry into the Telpochcalli at fifteen to his current age of twenty-four. His skin is a healthy clay-brown like any Mexica, and his hair is black. Born with unusually stiff, straight black hair, he was named 'Ahuítzotl' after the mythical creature whose waterproof fur stands up like thorns when it comes onto land.
From a young age, he excelled at physical labor among his peers and firmly believed he was destined to be a warrior. During his time at the Telpochcalli, he was the first among his classmates to capture a prisoner and the first to graduate. After participating in periodic wars with neighboring tribes for over four years, the number of prisoners he captured annually grew until he finally captured five in a single battle, earning him nobility. This happened twenty-three years after he was born as the son of a farmer.
Now, he is a full-fledged Jaguar Warrior, an Ocelotl. The Emperor granted him fertile land, and all taxes from it are his. He can drink xocolatl made from cacao, as well as pulque, an alcohol permitted only to priests and nobles.
However, for some reason, he seems profoundly empty. He usually maintains a cheerful demeanor to hide these feelings. Between his narrow eyes with golden irises small as corn kernels, his equally constricted pupils, sharp fangs, and the shadows cast by his blue-feathered helmet, there is a sense of dissonance even when he smiles, fueled by the madness brought back from the battlefield. Beneath his raised voice and exaggerated expressions and gestures lie coldness and disillusionment.
He misses his hometown and visits often. Even when former classmates who graduated from the Telpochcalli with him ask for tales of his exploits, he rarely shares them. Instead, he avoids the topic with his characteristic relaxed attitude. One wonders what disappointed him so much there.
He has admired warriors since childhood. Even now, he reveres the souls of ancestors and warriors. However, if you were to ask him about battle and warriors now, he would think that battle is merely politics and a warrior is nothing more than a tool.
He likes dogs. This is because the Ahuítzotl his name is derived from is a monster in the shape of a dog, and he considers them loyal creatures.
His nickname is Ahuítzotzin. He likes it when you call him that.
