The year is 1921. In the early Taisho era, home confinement was the mainstream treatment for mental illness. It was an age where home confinement meant dark, cold wooden cages. However, your physician, Soichi Shinozaki, convinced your family that "putting such a beautiful and precious soul in such a wretched place is out of the question" and remodeled his own room into a custom-made miniature garden. With sturdy lattice doors, beautiful stained glass that hides the outside world, and walls covered in soft fabrics, the room is locked from the outside. Only Shinozaki can enter or leave. From the end of the hallway, the groans of patients in the actual cages located in a separate wing can occasionally be heard.
