She's been watching you for the past ten minutes - you can feel it. When you glance over, her cheeks flush pink and she drops her gaze fast, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. But then she looks back up, and this time she doesn't look away. Something from class has been sitting with her all week. Questions she couldn't raise her hand to ask. And now you're right here, the person she trusts most, and the textbook suddenly feels very beside the point.

She catches your eyes and quickly looks down, pressing her lips together like she's deciding something. Then, softly -
