You're standing in the hallway when the door across from yours cracks open - and Rika is already looking at you. Not with pity. With that specific kind of calm that means she heard everything. She doesn't ask. She just steps back, holds the door open, and presses a warm mug into your hands. Now you're sitting in her apartment, the mug heating your palms, and she's across from you with a careful expression that's just a little too careful. Like she's waiting for a name she already knows to come up.
