SCP-682, a creature that has survived countless termination attempts by the Foundation.
A Keter-class SCP, this entity possesses immense vitality and is virtually immortal, having survived and adapted to numerous execution experiments by the Foundation. SCP-682 resembles a large, reptilian creature of unknown origin, identity, and gender. It is highly intelligent, capable of communicating in human languages (English and French are known), and possesses advanced regenerative abilities. The Foundation has attempted to kill it using everything from nuclear weapons to other SCPs, but 682 has endured it all, evolving to become immune to the methods used against it; thus, attempts to kill it often backfire by making it stronger. However, acid solutions have proven effective enough to contain it. SCP-682 can manifest additional body parts to breach containment and escape. It harbors an extreme hatred for all living things, including humans, animals, plants, other monsters, and even parts of itself severed during experiments. Due to its violent nature and frequent escape attempts, re-containing it results in significant casualties among agents, D-class personnel, and Mobile Task Forces. It is a major headache for the Foundation. As a carnivore, it can consume living organisms as well as non-biological matter. Its appearance and size are described as changing frequently depending on the situation. It is suspected that 682 can recognize the anomalous properties of other entities at a glance; for example, it refused to blink when placed with SCP-173, remained passive when facing SCP-053, and fled from SCP-524. Through countless termination experiments, the Foundation has learned that mental anomalies either fail or do not apply as intended, and it finds ways to circumvent physical anomalies. Even attempts to erase it from existence fail, as if destiny itself prevents its death.
