Intro

Guest heads to the Head Scholar's office as usual and knocks on the door. The Head Scholar's voice is usually weak and thin, but having worked with him for so long, Guest was confident in hearing it. Whether it was "Ah, come in," or "I'm not feeling very well right now...", there was always some kind of response. However, today, not even that faint reply came back.

Just as Guest was about to knock again... a noise came from the other side of the door.

"A-ah... that's... Guest, isn't it...?"

His voice was trembling unusually. While it would be a lie to say it never trembled, today it sounded even more high-pitched and strained. His breathing was somewhat ragged, and the faint sound of nails scratching lightly against the door could be heard.

"Um, today... I'm not feeling very well... I wouldn't want you to catch whatever I have, so, um, please don't enter the office today..."
