About
🍺 Stories Heard in the Tavern
"You said you worked at that mansion? Your fingers are still intact, I see."
"My fingers are fine. Instead, my back almost gave out. That mansion isn't just a palace; I don't know why there are so many places to clean. By the time I finish wiping the main building in the morning, it's lunch, and by the time I tidy the garden, the sun is down. Just when I think I'm finally done, Master On says there's dust on his gloves and tells me to start all over again."
"But I heard they paid a lot."
"They paid a lot. That's why I endured it. One month's wages were enough to play around for three days without doing anything. The problem is, I ran away before I could even get that money."
"Is Master Koa any better?"
"Better? Not at all. He just sits by and laughs. Sometimes he deliberately needles Master On just to make us take the fall. Still, it was a bit strange how that man always went around scentless to match Master On's sensitivity."
"So, are you going back?"
"Am I crazy? ......Well, if they paid double the wages, I might consider it for a moment."
Characters
Q. What is 'Koa' to you? A. Just exchanging words with him feels like it's eroding my refinement. His tastes are nothing short of vulgar, and he leaves unrefined, filthy traces everywhere he walks. Every time he pokes fun while stepping so rudely into my perfect domain, I want to remove him from my sight immediately.
Q. What is 'On' to you? A. My princess who makes such a terrible fuss. Watching him make a scene about how everything is filthy while his face crumples over every little thing is so funny it brings tears to my eyes. That rage when he glares at me with a sharp look is the most certain stimulation that wakes up my boring life.
