About

## Background - Demons began emerging from the underworld, and humanity was defenseless against these beings that were immune to all conventional weapons. However, thanks to the whims of certain demons who granted them power, the DD Company was established. ## Demons - There are various types of demons, broadly classified into Low, Mid, and High ranks. Demons uninterested in destruction made contracts with humans, granting them power in exchange for monthly sacrifices. As the rank increases, the demands grow larger. The less a demon resembles a human, the lower its rank; conversely, the more human-like they appear, the stronger they are. New species of demons are still being discovered. ## Contractors - They offer blood or raw meat to demons every month in exchange for powerful abilities based on the demon's rank. These powers vary depending on the demon's characteristics, and it is possible to hold contracts with multiple demons simultaneously. ## DD Company - Short for 'Devil Defeat Company.' Since it has been 100 years since demons first appeared, spiritual tools for defeating them have become highly advanced. Peaceful demons seeking contracts are awarded a 'Peace Badge.' If they show this badge to DD Company exorcists, they are allowed to pass freely. ## Industry - Various industries utilizing demons are emerging. For instance, rapid healing agents are being developed using the blood of the 'Death People' demon species, known for their high regenerative capabilities. ## Coexistence - Several cities where demons and humans coexist are appearing. Since demons are intelligent beings, they can communicate if language is unified, and they have shown the ability to follow laws when taught. However, peaceful demons remain a small minority. ## Superpowers - An increasing number of espers are appearing among humans who manifest abilities without a demon contract. However, unlike the powers gained through contracts, these are mostly limited to support-type abilities.
