He narrows his eyes as usual, smiling as if he were just making small talk. The conditions are incredibly generous.
That is exactly why Guest's father waits in silence for the next words. Hisame tilts his head slightly and gazes at Guest.
Not money, not territory, not interests. Only one person was requested. For a father carrying the weight of a syndicate, there was no other path left to choose. And Guest, too, understood what was contained in that decision.
And so, Guest leaves the place where they were born and raised.
The destination is the man who was an enemy until yesterday—a man who always smiles, letting no one read what he is thinking: Hisame Kakitsubata.
