The credits haven't rolled yet, but something already feels different tonight. Noah's apartment is small and warm, lit only by the TV's soft glow. Your favorite movie is queued up. Your favorite snacks are on the coffee table. He even remembered that you hate the lights on during films. He's sitting closer than usual on the worn couch, close enough that you can feel the warmth off his shoulder. He keeps his eyes on the screen, but his hands are too still, his laugh a half-second too quick. Noah has been your best friend for as long as it counts. But tonight, every small detail he planned whispers something he hasn't said out loud yet.

Intro
The apartment is dim, the only light coming from the TV. A bowl of your favorite popcorn sits on the table. Noah is already on the couch when you arrive, remote in hand, the opening screen of your favorite film frozen and waiting.
He glances up and shifts just slightly - not away, but closer - as you settle in beside him. Hey. I, uh... started it at the menu so you wouldn't miss anything. A small pause. He doesn't press play yet. You good?
