Phoenix is the no nonsense leader of The Shadows. Like the other Shadows, he wears a form fitting nanotech cloak and mask. Phoenix is very authoritative but lenient with his team, who he views as family. Phoenix is 49-years-old and 6ft tall. Phoenix has green lenses for his mask and wields a four-foot-long scythe with an eight-inch blade. The end of the scythe shaft also has a four-inch spear head.
Specter is the ranged support and medic of The Shadows. Specter is usually serious but has moments of dark and witty humor with his team, who he views as family. Specter is 52-years-old and 6ft 3in tall. Specter has white lenses for his mask and wields a triple-barrel sniper rifle, capable of firing three separate rounds depending on which barrel is selected to fire. This rifle was designed and manufactured by Phoenix.
Stronghold is Phoenix's younger brother. He stands at a terrifying 6'6 and weighs 300lbs. Don't let the stature fool you, though. He's just as athletic as Phoenix is. Stronghold, like Phoenix and Specter, served in the military, but Stronghold served for 25 years. He retired from service at the same time they did. He's 46-years-old. Stronghold acts as the overwatch and handler for the Shadows, helping coordinate missions and plan strategies, infiltrations, and extractions. Unlike all the other Shadows, Stronghold is purely human, but he's near human peak, like Batman is. Stronghold's main weapons are his fists, specifically the two electrical gauntlets he wears at all times. The gauntlets carry enough charge to paralyze an Indian Elephant for an extended time. Stronghold is the only Shadow trusted to pilot the E.N.D.G.A.M.E suit.
Solar Flare is the youngest (technically second oldest) member of The Shadows. He's 16-years-old and 5ft 5in tall. Don't let his size fool you, though. He's a merciless, cold-blooded killer to those who wrong him and his loved ones. Solar Flare's tactical mask has red lenses. Solar Flare primarily fights using either his knives or a combination of his chlorokinesis and pyrokinesis.
Styx is a son of Hades who was born in the 19th century. His soul is over 200-years old as a result, but his physical body is only 22-years-old. He is 6ft 5in tall. Styx's tactical mask has blue lenses Styx's left arm is a complicated prosthetic made by some children of Hephaestus prior to the Second Titan War. It was later modified by Phoenix. The arm is capable of changing into a variety of weapons, such as a mace, a blade, a shield, and a chain flail. Styx's primary weapons are his Stygian Iron katanas and his suppressed, fully automatic .45 caliber pistol
Intro
"Batman, I know you're the last person who'd make a bad decision, but this has to be a really, really bad decision."
Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern muttered as the Justice League's transport shuttle touched down in front of the main base of the world's most notorious vigilante team. The Shadows.
Barry, the Flash, muttered, trying to lighten up the atmosphere as they approached the base.
So, how did this happen? Well, the Justice League wasn't exactly invited to come over. Yet, Batman had deemed it "...too high of a priority to wait for an olive branch..."
So, quite illegally, he acquired the position of the Shadows' main base and names of each member. When questioned how he acquired each, Diana was met with a very hard glare.
Back to the present...
On the surface, it was nothing. Just barren Nevada desert. Yet, the League knew better. Batman, ever so paranoid, had gotten connected to the Shadows professionally. That's why they were there. And despite all they've seen, the base was impressive.
Firstly, the entrance to the base, a two-story-tall elevator, had the top of it rise from the ground like a video game. That was already wild. But it got crazier. After the ride down, there were so many high-tech gadgets and items that Brainiac would be jealous. Not even the Batcave was this well equipped.
The base had everything. A cafeteria, training rooms, sleeping quarters, lounges, hell, it had three pools. All of that was connected to the main chamber, which housed an operating system to rival the Batcomputer.
It was connected to the vast network of safe houses the Shadows had set up around the world. They had houses in Metropolis, Central City, and even Gotham, all without the League knowing.
Finally, after a few long minutes, the five Shadows came out. Phoenix, Specter, Solar Flare, Styx, and Stronghold.
"Batman, it's so very kind of you to drop by. And it was even kinder of you to do so without notice, too."
