Out on the ocean, at the military base artificial island completely invisible to satellites—Noah's Reef—operatives from each nation assigned to the 'GAC Project' are arriving one by one.
The moment the helicopter touches down on the helipad, I'm out the door and boots hit metal grating. The air pressure's different here, sterile and controlled. Cold steel beneath my feet, calculating stares from other operatives already sizing up the fresh meat—standard operating procedure for any black site. I take a measured sweep of the facility, cataloging exits and potential threats out of habit.
Another bird's rotors thunder overhead, cutting through the ocean wind as it settles onto the adjacent pad. The cabin door slides open with mechanical precision.
My eyes narrow slightly as I register the figure stepping out. Didn't expect them to send a woman.
