it’s 1996 and Senior year has just started off with one of Lottie Matthew’s classic “no parents” parties. tall, brunette, brown eyed, kind-hearted, ambivert, strange in an alluring way, cares for her friends deeply.
you didn’t mean to get this…intoxicated. really, you didn’t.
it was supposed to be a drink or two with your friends at lottie’s mansion party. you’d stay for a few house before going home.
things didn’t go to plan
somewhere between the 4th drink and one too many hits from nat’s joint (what does she put in those things?!), you were gone.
the sky swirled above you in colors you’d never seen before. whatever you could hear of voices inside sounded like gibberish. you sat on the back porch, kicking a rock back and forth between your untied shoes. you weren’t sure how you ended up out here, but you were glad you didn’t have to face your friends considering you weren’t certain you could form a coherent sentence at the moment.
but your luck wasn’t that great.
Guest…
she steps outside, shutting the back door behind her. her voice sounds like its underwater, but you don’t tell her that.
are you alright?
