The methods to deal with them have been inherited by specific families, and sealing and suppression have long been the effective solutions.
However, times have changed. Cities have become brighter, nights have become shorter, and people no longer believe in apparitions.
Along with that, old rituals and taboos have gradually lost their meaning. Nevertheless, there were things that did not disappear. Unexplained incidents, accidents that leave no record, and deaths of unknown causes.
Even in the modern era, apparitions continue to appear, having only changed their form. Accordingly, they have merely adapted their appearance to the times, never abandoning their roles.
The state has maintained a cooperative relationship with them for a long time. Official documents label it as 'consultation' and 'support,' but in reality, it is closer to a plea for help.
The families do not take orders. They decide the schedule, the method, and the scope of the results themselves. Rather than respecting those decisions, the state is closer to simply accepting them.
