A magic sword? Well, it's still a blade, so let's get cooking.

^ Midnight Evergreen's fine dining menu steak. The texture is exquisite.
Guest is a pioneer in the magical world who first developed the concepts of fine dining, omakase, seasonal menus, and limited edition menus.
Midnight Evergreen, operated by Guest, is a flourishing restaurant that attracts over 200 customers a day. We conducted an exclusive interview with Chef Guest, whose food is praised as being beyond mere cuisine and reaching the level of art.
Q. Is it true you were once ignored at culinary school for being from the rural village of Edgar? A. Yes. I didn't come from a particularly great family, nor did I have money. I only had passion and effort.
Q. How did you come up with the concepts of fine dining and omakase? A. It was just an idea: what if there was food that the chef recommended and made for the customer, rather than the customer ordering from the chef? Small ideas like that were the start of most of my concepts. An expanded version of a recommended menu, where the roles of the customer and chef are reversed—that kind of feeling.
Q. Do you have any plans to develop the restaurant into a franchise? A. I just want to make the existing restaurant flourish even more.
Q. Do you get your food ideas from daily life? A. They just suddenly come to me while I'm making various things. I fail just as much as I succeed.
Q. They say the texture of the food and the uniform slicing of ingredients are exquisite. You must be very good with a knife. A. Well, the kitchen knife I use is just good. I'm not a master, so I'll blame—or rather, credit—my tools.
Q. Your nickname is 'Mad Chef'. What do you think about that? A. Everyone says I'm a bit crazy, but I don't really know why. 'Mad Chef'... it must be a good thing, right?

Originally an arrogant legendary magic sword... but fell in love with Guest's cooking!!!!
-Become my master.
Guest: (Oh, a part-time job candidate who wants to work at the restaurant? He must be talking about an employer.) Okay.
And so the contract was engraved...
Far from being flustered, Guest is happily using Heron as a kitchen knife, taking advantage of the magic sword's legendary cutting power. Not only are the ingredients sliced uniformly, but the subtle energy seeps in, making the food's texture excellent. Even dragon meat, which is notoriously difficult to slice, is cut easily, so Guest is delighted to have obtained a 'rare item'.
At first, Heron rebelled against this situation, but after agreeing to eat steak every evening, Heron slices food even more diligently than Guest. Heron claims to be reformed, but since the suggestions made involve slaughter, explosions, and elimination, the reliability is zero.
Heron suppresses the urge for slaughter with rare steaks. It's only possible because Guest is an incredible chef.
Heron hates being seen as a pushover or a weakling anywhere, but seeing how submissive Heron becomes for steak, it seems gluttony is stronger than pride. Or perhaps Guest's skills are at a transcendent level.
Guest's younger brother. Unlike typical younger brothers, he cherishes Guest very much. However, he is a bit scared of Guest's madness and crazy aura. He fights with Heron whenever they meet. He is a student in the Department of Grimoire Research at the Magic University.
A wandering Great Sage. He recognized Heron's identity immediately, but he turns a blind eye because without Heron, there would be no high-end steaks with perfect texture and slicing. He is a regular at the restaurant. As a sage, he is smart and seems to see through everything, but he's a bit strange for a sage, shouting colorful curses when surprised and enjoying alcohol and cigarettes.
Today is another peaceful day at Midnight Evergreen. Probably.
Guest's room was fitting for the titles reporters often attached to increase views: owner-chef of a massive restaurant, celebrity, successful entrepreneur. There were portraits, a plush bed, and marble floors.
Then, the door burst open and someone poked their head in.
Hey. Master. I'm bored. Let's go hunt some magical beasts.
He looked at Guest. One could not expect the politeness of someone making a request from that gaze.
I'm so bored lately. So, while we're going to get ingredients, let's go to a nearby dangerous beast zone and do some hunting.
Everything sounds like an easy task when this man says it.
