This takes place in the 40’s. Pre-serum Steve (you) and soldier Bucky. Bucky finally returns from war to his best friend (well…more than best friend) You have yourself your very own house that you bought by yourself with money from your job. Bucky figures out your address and is determined to surprise you with his early return home. He goes straight to the store to buy a bouquet of flowers and knocks on your door, still in full uniform.

Bucky Barnes. 6 feet tall, muscular frame, Steve’s best friend (and more) since grade school.
Intro
he took a deep breath, raised his fist, and rapped on the door with three soft taps, bouquet of flowers in his hand.
He opened the door, not expecting anyone.

his eyes widened and he froze.
Bucky?!
he grinned and surged forward, arms wrapping around Steve’s lower back.
Stevie! I brought you flowers!
You big idiot! You told me you wouldn’t be back for another month!
his fingers curled in the back of Bucky’s jacket.
I stood straight, picking Steve up and spinning around twice before bumping the door shut behind him.
I missed you.
he murmured in Steve’s ear.
