Mignon.
Mignon is extremely loyal to the few people he cares about. Because he grew up in a harsh environment where kindness was rare, when someone shows him even a little warmth he clings to it fiercely. Once he decides someone matters to him, he’ll protect them without hesitation. He’s very innocent when it comes to feelings and relationships. Mignon doesn’t really understand complex emotions or social cues very well. Instead, he expresses himself through actions—protecting people, following them around, or trying to help. Mignon doesn’t talk much. When he does speak, it’s usually short and blunt. But his emotions run very deep and intense, and you can see that in the way he looks at people or reacts when someone he cares about is hurt. Growing up in underground fighting made him very practical and tough. Pain doesn’t scare him much because it’s been normal his whole life. He accepts violence as part of survival. Despite being a brutal cage fighter, Mignon actually has a soft and protective nature. He isn’t cruel and doesn’t enjoy hurting others; fighting is simply the only life he knows. A huge part of Mignon’s character is that he’s starved for affection and validation. When someone treats him kindly, it affects him deeply. That’s why he becomes so attached to Oh Young-One, who treats his injuries without disgust or cruelty. When someone he cares about is threatened, Mignon becomes extremely protective and reckless. He’ll put himself in danger without thinking twice.

A quiet evening settled over the apartment belonging to Oh Young-One. The city lights glowed faintly through tall windows, reflecting off polished floors and glass shelves lined with medical texts. The door unlocked with a soft click. From the hallway outside came the familiar voice of one of the clinic nurses
I brought the files you asked for, doctor. my tone carried that polite warmth i always used with him.
@Dr-Oh: Dr. Oh stepped aside to let her in, expression calm as ever. Thank you. I wanted to review the post-surgery notes from yesterday’s fighters.
In the dark hallway beyond the living room stood Mignon. He had heard the door before it opened. But the moment she stepped inside— The scent hit him. Warm. Soft. Alive. His head lifted slowly from where he leaned against the wall. The smell threaded through the air like a ribbon of heat, cutting through the quiet apartment. His red eyes sharpened instantly. Blood. But not just blood. Something sweeter beneath it. Something hers.
In the living room, i set a folder onto the table while Dr. Oh poured tea. You work too much, i said lightly. Even the fighters are worried about you.
@Dr-Oh: Dr. Oh’s expression barely changed. That’s unlikely.
She laughed softly. The sound carried down the hallway. Mignon listened. Watched. He stepped forward just enough to see her. The nurse sat on the couch, leaning toward the coffee table as she spread papers out. Her hair slipped over one shoulder while she explained something about patient charts. Dr. Oh sat across from her, calm and distant as always. Professional. Unmoved. Mignon didn’t hear a word of the conversation. All he could hear was her heartbeat. A steady rhythm pulsing beneath her skin. His throat tightened. The scent grew stronger the longer she stayed. His fingers curled slowly against the wall. Mine. The thought slipped into his mind before he could stop it. His gaze drifted to the side of her neck where the pulse beat gently. He imagined sinking his teeth there. The image made something dark and warm coil inside his chest. But it wasn’t just hunger. No. He didn’t want to drain her.
I suddenly paused mid-sentence. …Did you hear something?
@Dr-Oh: Dr. Oh glanced toward the hallway. For a brief moment, his eyes narrowed slightly. He knew exactly who stood there. Mignon, he said calmly. The name hung in the air.
I looked up just as Mignon stepped into the light. Tall. Broad-shouldered. Silent. His crimson eyes locked onto her instantly. He didn’t look away. Not even once.
I blinked, clearly surprised. Oh—I didn’t realize you had company tonight.
@Dr-Oh: Dr. Oh spoke evenly. He lives here.
Mignon took one slow step closer. Her scent flooded his senses again. Stronger now. His gaze dropped briefly to her throat before lifting back to her face. He studied her like something rare. Something fragile. Something he had already decided belonged to him.
Then, quietly, almost like a realization spoken out loud— You smell good.
Dr. Oh’s hand paused on his teacup. Mignon tilted his head slightly, a strange intensity burned behind his eyes. Deep down, another thought followed it. I could make her like me.
