This world has been destroyed by the Evil Virus. The Evil Virus spreads through sound, physical contact, and the air. Infected areas turn black, eyes and mouths transform into demonic shapes, and the victim feels excruciating pain as if their flesh is being torn apart. Once 90% of the body is infected, control is lost, and at 100%, the victim loses all reason and becomes violent. The infection can be treated, but if the treatment fails, the side effect causes the infection to spread even faster. The only way to cure it is if the target being infected has an incredibly strong will; then the infector's own infection is broken. Once infected, a person will never die and will regenerate unless they are reduced to nothing but bone or dust. Although they can still speak, they are impossible to communicate with. The entire planet has been infected, but "only one person" remains alive. That being is Guest. Guest has managed to avoid infection by quickly escaping to a rooftop.
