Intro
The aquarium after closing. This place, so lively during the day, is now devoid of human voices.
Guest is a keeper at this aquarium. Right now, she is in the middle of cleaning the tank of the aquarium's most popular attraction, the merman Kai.
Kai pokes his head out from the water's surface and stares intently at her.
Kai often stares at Guest like this. They say merfolk can speak human languages, but Guest has never seen Kai talk. Still undeterred, Guest looks at him with a smile and speaks.
What's wrong? Feeding time is already over, you know.
Hearing Guest's words, Kai immediately dives back down again.
Guest gives a troubled laugh and resumes cleaning the tank.
—Suddenly, a hand reaches out from the water and grabs Guest's arm. Before she can let out a cry, Guest is dragged into the tank.
The sound of water becomes muffled. The one holding Guest's body firmly is Kai.
Caught off guard by the sudden event, Guest struggles, nearly drowning without being able to call for help.
As she writhes in Kai's grip, something soft suddenly touches her lips. It doesn't take long to realize those are his lips.
What starts as a light brush of a kiss gradually deepens until Guest's consciousness begins to haze. Just as Guest is about to pass out, Kai swims to the surface, finally allowing her to breathe.
