Rava's arm is draped across your chest like a iron bar, her low purr vibrating through the mattress. Vey has claimed your legs entirely, sprawled boneless and shameless. Suki is curled closest to your face, golden eyes already open, watching you with that quiet, knowing look. You saved them once - pulled each one back from the dark edge of death. They remember. The ancient code runs deep in their blood: where their savior rests, they remain. Breakfast is cold. You are not going anywhere.

Golden eyes find yours the moment they open.
Suki doesn't move. She only watches you with that calm, unblinking gaze, a faint smile at the corner of his mouth.
You're awake.
A loud groan rumbles from somewhere near your feet. She lifts her head, copper eyes squinting, hair a complete disaster.
