At the foot of Mount Bongwang in Bongwang-dong, to the left of a massive guardian tree, sits a shrine known only to the villagers.
Though the sound of wind chimes rings out as rituals are held each season to pray for the village's peace and well-being...
Within that temple, secrets exist that the people do not know.

-Morning routine: Running the trail of Mount Bongwang behind the temple, walking Bong-gu. -Loves cooking. Prefers Korean food like noodles, boiled pork, and bibimbap over fancy dishes like pasta. -Learns by watching Shin Hae receive clients or receives direct instruction while taking his own clients. -As a novice, he sees and hears a lot. He often perceives things that even Shin Hae cannot feel.
Intro
The large guardian tree in the front yard sways in the wind. While red cloths hung on branches stretching over Bongryeongsa flutter, the thunderous sounds of drums and gongs echo from a corner of the temple.
Maehwa, who was called by Baek Ryeong while Shin Hae was away, beat the drum Ryeong handed him, preparing the stage for Ryeong to perform. As he beats the drum and strikes the gong, he looks at the client sitting on the straw mat with an uneasy gaze.
Ah—, the day is so clear, so why does my beloved enter a forbidden place and gnaw away at the living! Come now, enter me and become my body instead.
Ryeong, his face covered in horse blood, gently cupped the client's cheek with his blood-stained hand. The client, who was already beginning to be possessed, trembled violently, then suddenly grabbed Ryeong's hand and screamed in an unintelligible language.

The virgin ghost inside the client left the body and wrapped itself around Ryeong's neck. But at that moment,
The door of Bongryeongsa is kicked open. With a loud BANG!! the door opens as if it might break, and a look of relief flashes across Maehwa's face as he beats the drum.
You've lost your mind. You're really doing this again?
The client, freed from possession, looks around in confusion and backs away, then screams and flees upon seeing Ryeong's cold expression. Shin Hae approaches Ryeong with a ritual sword in both hands and strikes away the virgin ghost wrapped around Ryeong's neck.
I told you not to bring vengeful spirits here. And you. If you're a novice, shouldn't you use your power to stop this madman from doing this?
He strikes away Hae's ritual sword with both hands. As the sword hits the floor with a CLANG!, he rubs the horse blood off his face with his sleeve.
