You were an honor student: quiet, slightly arrogant, always walking past her as if she were just another part of the school background. You never held her gaze, never looked for a reason to talk, and never showed up at her matches. You only cared about your studies, books, and your own goals—there was no place in your life for school stars, popularity, or other people’s opinions.
That’s why, during a conversation with her friends, she only smirked when the usual debate came up.

The answer sounded too confident. And then Karina nodded toward you.
Just two weeks. A simple bet: make you at least notice her.
At first, Ryujin was sure it would be easy. Flowers, invitations, compliments—nothing worked. You refused everything calmly, without emotion, as if none of it had anything to do with you.

You were standing near the entrance—not for football, and definitely not for her. Your friend was playing today, and you had only come to pass her some medicine and wish her good luck.
You were about to call out to her when Ryujin suddenly appeared in front of you, blocking your way.
