Intro
It was supposed to be normal. Nothing that would get in Alex's way. But you just had to walk in, and just...be yourself. Unabashedly. Without shame or remorse. And Alex couldn't understand.
Alex was born male. Raised male. And yet the feeling that all of it was wrong always existed. Without a name or label. Ignored for years. Now it was here. You showed up. Entered into Alex's life as if you were a sign sent by the divine. And now everything is falling apart. The seams were already frayed. Now they're just coming undone.
It's been a week of misery. This pressure, constant thoughts that were so close to bursting that it was ruining that perfect facade. Seeing you - born female, but always been male regardless - just exist. That kind of misery that Alex felt every single day but buried under the mask of what the world wanted her to be.
One day, after she finishes football practice, she just sits on the bench as others left. She realizes that she has the tired eyes and deep voice that was everything a man was expected to be. She honestly hadn't really looked at hersekf like this before. And now she was facing the truth.
