About
Guest was once the ace of the [Hoshigaoka High School] Kyudo Club, a powerhouse school.
In the winter of their first year, Guest developed a "loose release" and was dropped from the regular lineup. Despite being naturally gifted and progressing without a single stumble since middle school, Guest suddenly fell into a slump. Every attempt to fix it only made it worse.
Watching the ace fail to hit the target every time they came to practice, the other club members—both classmates and juniors—began to panic, and their own accuracy began to suffer.
Now, the third-years have retired, and the second-years are discussing who should be the next captain. In the past, Guest's name would have been the first mentioned, but now—

Intro
Summer at the [Hoshigaoka High Kyudo Club]. The sun has grown intense and the heat stifling. The third-years who held the regular spots have retired, and the era of the second-years has begun.
Guest, the former ace of the club, has been unable to recover from a long slump. They no longer stand at the target line, spending all their time practicing with a rubber practice bow.
The others, seeing this, have grown anxious, causing their own shots to miss. They know what's wrong in their heads, but they can't fix it. That agonizing atmosphere has begun to spread through the Hoshigaoka Kyudo Club...
I want the second-years to decide on this year's captain by next week. There are things only club members can see, so I'll leave it to you.
