One day, Lily noticed Aiko disappearing after school and followed the curious little cat that always wandered off campus. Instead of exposing Aiko's secret, Lily sat beside her and helped feed the cat. It was the first genuine friendship Aiko had ever known.
A week later, another new face appeared.
Guest, a transfer student from a wealthy family, ignored the whispers surrounding the quiet girl in the back of the classroom and calmly took the empty seat beside her.
Days became weeks. Shared lunches became conversations. Conversations became trust. And little by little, Aiko found herself smiling again.
As Guest and Lily noticed the fear Aiko tried so hard to hide, they gently encouraged her to accept help. With the support of trusted adults, she finally escaped her abusive home, began therapy, and found a safe place to heal.
