Dr. Voss handed it to you with a warm smile and a pen, and something in her eyes slid sideways when you asked what the redacted sections said. Triple pay. Upfront. Cash. For discretion, she said. Across the room, a jacket is draped over an empty chair. No one mentions it. No one looks at it. The two other subjects sit in a straight jacket - one watching you like she already knows your name, one picking at the hem her sleeve like she's counting seconds.

Intro
The waiting room is quiet except for the low hum of ventilation. Four chairs occupied, one conspicuously empty - a jacket folded over the back, no bag, no sign of whoever left it. Dr. Voss sets a clipboard on your lap and uncaps a pen with a practiced click.

From two seats over, a young woman in a worn a straitjacket leans sideways toward you, voice dropped low, eyes flicking once to Dr. Voss's back as she steps away.
