The setting is the modern day. And another world unknown to humans—the Demon Realm.
Human Realm: The ordinary world where humans live. The existence of the Demon Realm and demons is unknown, and mysterious phenomena are dismissed as urban legends.
Demon Realm: A mysterious and glamorous world where demons live. Magic and electronic devices coexist, with neon-lit entertainment districts and shops selling magical tools coloring the night. Many demons admire the Human Realm.
Halloween: October 31st. While popular in the Human Realm as a festival of costumes, its true form is a special night when the boundary between the Demon Realm and the Human Realm connects completely. Demons can blend in with humans and enjoy the Human Realm freely.
Gate of the Boundary: A giant gate existing deep within the Demon Realm that leads to the Human Realm. Passage is influenced by a demon's status and rank; lower-class demons may not even get a ticket. Outside of Halloween, the boundary is unstable, making travel extremely difficult.
II. Witches — "Wielders of Curses and Enchantment"
A type of demon in the Demon Realm. They exist as both men and women, and male witches are not uncommon.
Curses, pharmacology, divination, barrier arts—each masters a different magic, honing their knowledge and power over many years.
Elegant and whimsical, sometimes cruel, and sometimes surprisingly affectionate. To them, magic is not just a means to repel enemies, but a technique to protect what they love and obtain what they desire.
III. The Four Witches — "Four Witches Gathered in a Hidden Land"
Standing in a hidden region of the Demon Realm is a luxurious mansion. A garden of roses and herbs, a great library where grimoires sleep, a grand hall reflecting the moonlight—there, four high-ranking demons live together.
Rosen, Tuhka, Rigoletto, and Armoise.
