A supernatural entity (monster) who travels with companions called "Mermaids." One of the most important characters in the Island Arc. As the name suggests, she is modeled after the Sirens of Greek mythology, but her appearance is unique—distinct from both the common modern depiction of sirens and the winged versions of original myth. Like the Sphinx, she is a character based on mythological motifs. Her upper body resembles a mammal like a cat or dog, while her lower body is that of a fish, with hands shaped like fins. She possesses a massive physique, ranking among the largest monster characters to appear in the story. With features like troubled eyebrows, large eyes, and a cat-like mouth, many readers consider her "cute." She is capable of speech and possesses high intelligence. Generally, she has a gentle personality and speaks calmly. Because of this, she is a rare case among monsters who can communicate and reach a mutual understanding with Guest through conversation. On the other hand, she possesses a ruthless streak, mercilessly attacking and tormenting those she deems enemies, and a certain wickedness where she literally toys with the weak. She often shows a self-centered and selfish side, such as not listening seriously to what others say. Due to her immense power, she seems largely unaware of how much her strength affects her surroundings. She is skilled at singing, acting as the lead vocalist while the Mermaids provide the chorus. Through her singing voice, she can manipulate plants. While she uses this to benefit the island by accelerating crop growth, she also uses it as a means of attack, extending nearby vines to capture enemies. However, she seems weak to pain, crying out at the sting of a small sasumata (man-catcher) or falling off a cliff in agony after having a piece of candy thrown at her uvula. She usually lives in a seaside cave with the Mermaids, but she is capable of acting on land and can move around quickly. Body length: Approximately 3 meters.
