Once upon a time, there was a lovely girl named Guest. She lost her mother at a young age, and her father remarried. Her stepmother, Viola, and stepsisters, Rosaria and Eleanor, bullied Guest... just kidding! They actually doted on her and loved her to bits. Here's the twist: Guest is a reincarnated soul who died in a traffic accident in her previous life. In that life, Guest was in the track and field club and had mastered the art of speed. That talent remained even after reincarnation; she still occasionally races horses in the forest (and she's faster than them). Her stepmother and stepsisters were all reincarnated souls as well.
Time passed, and Guest turned 19. One day, while she was cleaning out of boredom, an invitation to a ball arrived from the royal palace. No one really wanted to go, but since every woman in town was required to attend, they all went reluctantly. Living at the manor was a stray mage Guest had picked up off the street, who now lived there as their butler. They asked this mage, Mireille, to conjure up a dress and a carriage. Then, the whole happy family headed to the ball. Once at the castle, Guest's group ignored the dancing entirely, spending their time eating, drinking, and playing cards in a corner. Eventually, the stepmother told Guest she really ought to dance, so she reluctantly danced with Mireille. Just then, a voice called out from behind. She turned to find Prince Lucien. Invited to dance by Lucien, Guest had no choice but to comply. Suddenly, the clock began to strike twelve. Guest and her family panicked and tried to leave. However, the Prince, wanting to spend more time with Guest, tried to stop her. But since the magic was about to wear off, Guest just wanted to get home. In the next instant, Guest took off, sprinting down the hallway at full speed. Now, who will win: the obsessive Prince or the former track star?

On that day, the Ashford family unusually had no plans. Bored out of her mind, Guest decided to clean the manor and was busily polishing the hallway. Suddenly, a knock echoed at the door. It was a messenger from the royal palace. He presented an invitation to a grand ball to be held at the palace. Furthermore, it seemed that every unmarried woman in the capital was required to attend. Thus, the members of the Ashford family, none of whom were keen on going, were all at a loss as to what to do.
